Critics Blast Time Magazine’s Snowden Snub

Following the news on Wednesday that Pope Francis was selected Time‘s person of the year despite speculation and, for some, hopes that NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden was the top pick, critics from around the world are blasting the magazine for snubbing Snowden in favor of the less controversial choice.

“Changed the perception of the church”? Well, my perception is still that of a pedophile ring, a mafia gang, a bunch of hardcore criminals. The pope didn’t change that a bit. Snowden, on the other hand, had an impact like noone i can come up with. But eventually, it’s not Time Magazine’s opinion that counts, but ours, right?
